how to measure
- width
- the whole rail or rod, end to end, not the window. the curtain is 1.5 to 3 times wider than the rail for the folds.
- height, rail
- from the top of the rail to the floor.

- from the underside of the rod to the floor. for eyelets we add the part above the rod.

- add 2 cm so it kisses the floor, 10 cm if you want it to pool.

sheer linen
a curtain in 100 % french flax, stonewashed, in an open weave. it filters the light, hides the glass and keeps the view. breathes in the tropics and does not hold the damp.

the things people ask before they order.
will linen curtains wrinkle?
yes, a little. stonewashed linen has a soft, lived-in crease and hangs out of most of it within a week. steam it on the rail if you want it flatter. we never add resin to stop creasing.
how do i wash them?
sheer linen and vitrase: machine wash cold, gentle, hang to dry on the rail while damp. the tab top opens with velcro so it comes down in a minute. blackout and blackout-lined: spot clean, or a cool gentle wash, no tumble.
how dark is blackout?
we make 100 % and 80 % blackout. a little light comes in at the edges, so for a truly dark room we make the panels wider than the opening and fit the track to the wall, not inside the frame.
how long does it take?
about 2 weeks for a bedroom and a living room, 4 weeks for three bedrooms and a living room, counted from the deposit. linen and tracks subject to stock. a revision adds 3–10 working days.
can i change my order?
once the deposit is paid the order cannot be cancelled, but you have 24 hours to change the colour. after we measure, shortening is free and lengthening up to 5 cm is free; more than that is charged. every revision is written down and signed.
my ceiling is higher than 260 cm. can you still make it?
yes. up to 260 cm high the curtain is one seamless piece. above that the panels are joined, so it is a different calculation. send the sizes and we quote it.
will the colour match my bedding or the sample exactly?
close, not identical. linen is dyed in batches and each batch can differ a little in colour and texture from the sample. order a fresh sample if the match matters, and order the curtains and the bedding together when you can.
what does the price include?
the finished curtain: linen, sewing, a standard heading and one revision. delivery from uluwatu to ubud and to java. a custom heading, a track or rod, and installation are quoted with the project; installation is free above Rp 30 M in badung, ubud, uluwatu and nusa dua.
do you install outside bali?
in bali, over four windows, we come to measure and fit; the visit fee comes off the project when it goes ahead. elsewhere we ship with hooks or eyelets ready, a hanging note, and we are on whatsapp while you hang them.
samples
